Hi everyone, I've been diving deep into the Cory Smith case, and I stumbled upon something that really struck me. It's the sense of community that rallied around his family in Garfield Ridge after his tragic death. Despite the usual picture painted of Chicago, it's heartening to see how neighbors came together to support Cory's loved ones. There were several candlelight vigils held in his memory, and it seems like the neighborhood was truly united in mourning and supporting each other through such a painful time. Also, it's interesting to note how there were calls for more street lights and increased police presence following the incident. Residents seemed proactive in trying to prevent something like this from happening again. Does anyone else have more insight into the community's response, or any updates on initiatives that might have come from this tragedy? Hoping we can keep Cory's memory alive by discussing the positive changes his community has tried to make in the aftermath. Thanks for reading, and sending thoughts to Cory's family and friends. - JaneDoe77
