Has anyone else been following the security policies at Howmet Aerospace since the tragic incident last year? I'm really concerned about how easily Alonzo Trower Jr. was able to bring a gun into the workplace. It seems like such a clear warning sign for other companies to tighten their security measures. I read that they didn't even have metal detectors or a protocol for checking employees for weapons. While it's understandable that no one expects these incidents to happen, it’s crucial to take preventative steps to avoid such tragedies in the future. It's hard not to think about Tyzuaan Staton-Fuller every time I hear about workplace safety. Such a young life lost over something senseless. Does anyone know if there have been any changes since then? I hope they’re taking steps to ensure the safety of their employees now. Sending thoughts to Tyzuaan's family and friends during what must still be a very difficult time.
It's so unsettling to hear about what happened at Howmet Aerospace that night. I can’t even begin to imagine the shock and pain Tyzuaan's family is going through right now. What really caught my attention was the lack of security measures at the workplace. It's 2022, and you'd think places would have more stringent checks, especially when so many people work in an environment like that. It's worrying to think about how easy it was for someone to bring a gun onto the premises when it could've been caught with proper screening. I hope this serves as a wake-up call for companies to rethink their security policies. No one should ever fear for their life while simply trying to do their job. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy. ?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been following Tyzuaan Staton-Fuller's case and something that really stands out to me is the lack of security measures at Howmet Aerospace. It’s so unfortunate that a young life was lost, and this tragedy might have been preventable with better security protocols in place. It’s concerning to learn that the facility doesn’t have metal detectors or checks for weapons. I understand that some companies don’t want to create an atmosphere of distrust, but incidents like this one highlight the importance of taking proactive steps to ensure everyone’s safety at work.
Does anyone know if Howmet has announced any new security measures since the incident? It would be good to hear that they’re taking this seriously and putting something in place to prevent future incidents. Such a devastating loss for Tyzuaan’s family, friends, and coworkers. My condolences go out to them during this difficult time.
