I recently came across some information about Crystal Mittelstadter's case that just made my heart feel so heavy. Something that's been bothering me is the video footage taken by Abdul-Aziz’s girlfriend. From what I understand, she was right there in the car, recording the whole ordeal. It makes me wonder how someone could think to record instead of trying to de-escalate the situation or call for help. It's chilling to think about what was going through her mind and why it didn't occur to her to step in somehow, especially when everything was getting so heated. I can’t imagine what Crystal's family must think about that footage even existing, let alone it being part of the evidence. The fact that it’s there forever, documenting Crystal’s last moments, is just too much to bear. Wishing strength and peace for her loved ones and hoping we can all learn from this tragic event.
