I've been thinking a lot about Stacey and Daniel Garrison's students at Auburn Middle School. It's hard to imagine what these kids must be going through after losing one of their teachers so suddenly and under such tragic circumstances. Many students develop strong bonds with their teachers, seeing them as mentors and even as a second family. I hope that the grief counselors and therapy dogs are helping, but it must be so tough to navigate the rest of the school year with such a big absence. My thoughts are with those kids and staff as they find ways to process this loss. If anyone knows of any ways to support the students or how the community can come together to help, please share. This has surely been overwhelming for all involved.
I can't stop thinking about the impact this must be having on Daniel's students at Auburn Middle School. My heart goes out to them; losing a teacher, especially in such a shocking way, can be incredibly destabilizing. From what I’ve read, he was passionate about teaching and deeply involved in the school community. I can only imagine the hole this has left, not only in the school's hallways but also in the hearts of those who knew him. Has anyone heard how the students are coping, or if there are any community efforts to support them beyond what the school is doing? This kind of support seems so critical right now.
