I keep thinking about how experienced Werner Szyleyko was with kayaking and how he even had a kite for towing. It makes me wonder what combination of circumstances could have led to his kayak overturning. It’s just baffling. I’m curious if anyone else in the kayaking community has insights or theories on what might have gone wrong. Was it the weather that day, or could there have been some other factor like equipment failure? It feels like there’s still so much we don’t know, even after all this time.
