I keep thinking about the sheer terror Ronald, Alexander, and the woman present must have felt that night. It's haunting to know that a place that should have been their sanctuary turned into a scene of such violence. The bond Ronald had with his family is evident through the memories shared by his loved ones, and it breaks me to know that those happy moments have been overshadowed by this horror. Knowing Shelton Hardy’s threats were known makes me wonder about the steps taken to try and safeguard the family beforehand. It's a grim reminder of the potential consequences when threats aren't, or perhaps can't be, effectively neutralized. It just makes the loss feel all the more real and tragic, thinking about all those signs and the sense of helplessness that his family might have felt leading up to that night. Anyone else following how the community is rallying to support the Ellis family? It's comforting to see people come together, but also such a grim situation that brought everyone here. If just one more person reads this and finds a way to support the fight against domestic violence, maybe it could help prevent another family from suffering a similar fate.
