Hey everyone, I've been reading through the threads on Sergeant Fullerton's case, and I just wanted to talk about the escape attempt by the gunman. It's chilling to think that after causing so much pain, there was still another horrifying chapter with his escape attempt in 1981. Can you imagine the fear that must've swept through the community and the prison staff when they heard he was trying to break out? I can't help but think about how terrifying it must have been for his family, especially knowing the initial trauma they’d already faced with Sergeant Fullerton's passing. The fact that the gunman got another 20 years added to his sentence shows the seriousness of his actions and the ongoing threat he posed. It must be somewhat of a relief knowing he was stopped before he could harm anyone else. If anyone has more insight into how the local community reacted or coped during that escape attempt, I’d be really interested to hear more about it. My thoughts are with Sergeant Fullerton's family and all who were impacted by this ordeal. Stay safe, everyone.
