I've been diving deep into the Shea case and something that's captivated my attention is Susan's situation. Having autism while growing up must have been challenging for her and her family, and it seems like there was a real lack of support back then for individuals with her needs. It's just so troubling to think about the pressures that Eileen might have faced in ensuring Susan had access to the appropriate resources and care. It breaks my heart to think that any person could harm someone so vulnerable and innocent, especially within their own family. And for Susan's life to end so tragically… it's just unfathomable. This case really highlights the need for more awareness and better systems to support families dealing with special needs because ignoring these stresses can have dire consequences. My thoughts are with the family and friends who had to endure such an unimaginable loss.
