I've been thinking a lot about the Galliano family and how senseless the whole tragedy was. It's really hard to wrap my head around how someone like Edward Lutes, someone trained to protect his community, could reach such a breaking point. I keep wondering if there were any warning signs that those around him might have noticed. Maybe there's something in how the police force handles stress or personal crisis that needs a real overhaul. It's just devastating that Gail, Dominick, and Christopher had their lives taken in such a brutal manner. It must be incredibly tough for anyone who was close to them to process this. Losing loved ones to violence is a pain no one should have to endure. I just hope that, in light of this tragedy, more attention is given to preventing future incidents by supporting those who might be on the edge. Sending love to those who are still healing from this terrible loss.
