I'm curious if anyone else has noticed how long it took for Ebony Turer's case to be entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)? Almost 30 years! It's troubling to think about how many other cases might fall through the cracks like this. I can't help but wonder if this delay might have affected any chance of finding new leads or witnesses who could remember something important from 1991. It's crucial to discuss these oversights to ensure future cases are handled with the urgency they deserve. Has anyone here been following any initiatives or groups working to bring more attention to cases like Ebony's?
Has anyone else looked into why Ebony Turer's case took nearly 30 years to make it into NamUs? I stumbled upon this info and can't wrap my head around it. I know sometimes cases get lost in the system for various reasons, but 30 years feels extreme. I wonder if there were some administrative hurdles or if it was just a lack of resources or priority back in the day. It feels like a massive disservice to Ebony and her family, and I can't help but think about how different things might be if her case got the attention it deserved from the start. If anyone has more insight or experience with how these systems work, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
