I've been reflecting on the tragic loss of James Townes, and it's really sad to see such a bright life cut short. One thing that's been on my mind is the role of community outreach and violence prevention programs in Newark during that time. Were there any community initiatives or organizations that were actively working to curb violence in 2014, especially around the time James lost his life? It makes me wonder if more could have been done to prevent these kinds of tragedies. I genuinely hope local leaders and residents have been able to come together since then to create safer environments and offer support to those affected by such losses. My heart goes out to James' family and friends, hoping they find the peace and justice they deserve.
