Has anyone else been thinking about the role of Rutgers University in supporting students who might be struggling with issues like those described in Shani Patel’s case? As someone who's worked in university settings before, I know that schools often have resources like counseling and legal advice, but I wonder if there’s more that can be done, especially when students might be enrolling straight from environments where these issues are prevalent. It's just heartbreaking to see someone with Shani's talent and potential step into a trap that, perhaps with the right support, could have been avoided. I'm hoping there's an overhaul in awareness programs or outreach for students in situations similar to Shani’s, so that these tragedies become less frequent. Sending all my love and thoughts to his family, friends, and all who knew and cherished him. ?
