Just came across this case, and I'm curious about the weather conditions that day. Kachemak Bay is notorious for its unpredictable weather, right? Has anyone looked into reports from that day? Strong currents or unexpected storms could have been a major factor, especially for three people canoeing. If they were caught off guard, even experienced paddlers might have had trouble. Anyone local who can chime in on how the weather was around the time Melvin and the others went missing?
