I'm so sorry for Eric Thomas II and his family. It’s just devastating how quickly a situation can escalate. I was reading about the location where it happened, near East Broad and Library streets. I used to live not far from there, and it wasn’t exactly known for being unsafe. It makes you wonder about how these kinds of altercations even begin. Street fights can often seem so sudden, yet they end with irreversible consequences. It breaks my heart thinking of his family expecting him home after just being released from custody. Instead, they faced this unimaginable tragedy. I’m hoping for peace and justice for Eric and all affected by this terrible situation.
