I've been thinking about the unimaginable courage of Robert Powell Jr. during that dreadful morning in Trenton. He must have sensed the danger as the gunfire erupted around him, yet his instinct was to seek safety, hoping to return to his family that day. It's just so painful to imagine his last moments, caught in the chaos, trying desperately to survive. This senseless violence claimed the life of a community member who embodied what it means to be a devoted family man. It breaks my heart to know that his family is now without a husband, father, and soon-to-be grandfather. I can't help but think of his wife, Antoinette, and the tidal wave of grief she must be enduring. May Robert rest in peace, and may his family find some comfort in the memories they cherish of him. Sending strength and love to all those affected by this tragedy.
