Hey everyone, I was reading through some old articles about Luis A. Hernandez's case and felt compelled to share a thought that's been on my mind. It's truly tough imagining what Luis's family and friends have gone through all these years without answers. He was such a known figure in his neighborhood, and by all accounts, seemed genuinely loved. One thing I wanted to touch upon is the impact of witness reluctance. I completely understand the fear of speaking out, especially in cases involving violence, but it's so disheartening to think that crucial information might never come to light because of it. Communities like Luis's suffer because of the silence - both from fear and sometimes mistrust in the system. It's a tragic cycle, and it just makes me wish there were more resources or protections in place for witnesses so they could safely bring forward what they know.
