I recently came across Charlotte Fuller's case, and something that stands out to me is the lack of any sort of digital footprint or trail. Understandably, this was 1993, well before social media and smartphones, but it still amazes me how someone can just vanish without a trace. I wonder if there might be old records like bank statements or credit card activity that could offer any clues. It's hard to imagine what investigators had to work with at the time. Does anyone know if they ever tried to follow any sort of paper trail back then, or was it really just door-to-door legwork? It feels like cases from before the digital age have this extra layer of mystery because there's simply less to go on.
