Has anyone else been following the case of Harold who went missing after his skiff capsized in the Chilkat River near Klukwan? I've been doing some research on the Chilkat River, and it sounds like it's notorious for its strong currents and ice-cold water. Could these natural conditions have played a significant role in him being unable to get to safety? I'm no expert, but it seems like even the best swimmers would have a tough time in those waters, especially if they're caught by surprise. Does anyone from the area have insight on how treacherous this river can really be?

I’ve been following the news about Harold and can’t stop thinking about how quickly conditions can change in these places. The Chilkat River is known for its fast currents and unpredictable weather. Considering how experienced Harold was with boating, it’s hard to wrap my head around how this happened. Does anyone familiar with the area know whether the river is especially prone to hidden obstacles or other dangers that might have caught him off guard? It’s a grim reminder of the risks involved in even familiar waterways.
