Anyone here familiar with the Tanana River area, especially near the Tanana bridge by mile 275.5 on the Richardson Highway? I've heard it's pretty tricky terrain around there, especially with all the silt and fast currents. Could someone with local knowledge chime in on how dangerous it actually is and if there's been any success with finding others who’ve gone missing in that area before? Just trying to get a better understanding of what search efforts might look like in a place like this. Thanks!
Hey everyone,
I’ve been reading through the threads on Joseph’s case and something that keeps catching my eye is the location at the Tanana River near that bridge on Richardson Highway. Has anyone else been to that area? I did a bit of digging and found that the currents there can be incredibly strong. If Joseph slipped, it must’ve been terrifying, and those currents could carry someone quite a distance. Does anyone have more insights on the river conditions or maybe know people who’ve fished there? Wondering if there have been similar incidents around that area. Also, are there any local rescue teams familiar with navigating this kind of terrain? Just trying to piece together what might’ve happened after he fell. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
