It's still so hard to wrap my mind around the fact that someone so young lost his life like this. My heart goes out to Altereek's family, who must be going through unimaginable pain right now. I've been following the updates, and the fact that Q.C., also just a teenager, is involved adds another layer of tragedy to this whole situation. I'm curious about the community response. I saw that a memorial has been set up near Steiner Place. It seems like a beautiful way to honor Altereek's memory, but it also makes me wonder if there's enough being done to support his family and the local community. Does anyone know if there are any efforts or fundraisers happening to support his family or awareness programs to prevent this kind of violence in the future? It’s crucial that we keep talking about these issues and support preventative measures. The investigation being ongoing must mean there’s still more to uncover, and I hope anyone with information steps forward. This community shouldn’t have to endure any more losses like this.
