Hey everyone, I've been following Avent Holston's case for a while now. It's incredibly sad to think about the impact this tragedy has had on his family and friends over the past few years. Something that stands out to me is the response of the local law enforcement, particularly how they’ve consistently emphasized the issue of illegal guns in the community. Director Ambrose’s comments really hit home about how senseless this all is. It got me thinking about what kind of support is in place for the community affected by gun violence in Newark. Are there initiatives people can participate in to help out or bring more awareness? Sometimes it feels like these events get swept under the rug, and acknowledging them seems like a small way to honor Avent’s memory. If anyone has updates or knows of any local groups working on these issues, I’d love to hear about it. ?
