I came across this case by reading up on unresolved crimes in the area, and it’s so unnerving to think about how Laquan T. Nowlin’s murder remains unsolved after all this time. I feel deeply for his family and friends who must wake up every day without answers. What struck me was that it occurred in such a public space in Newark, around Sanford and Lanark Avenue—how does something like this happen without someone knowing something? It’s comforting to see the community is still supportive and seeking justice for him. Hopefully, the $10,000 reward from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office will motivate someone to come forward with vital information. Keeping my fingers crossed that there will be a breakthrough in the investigation soon. Stay vigilant, everyone, and let’s keep Laquan's memory alive.
