Hey everyone, I've been looking into Ramon D. Finch's tragic murder in Chicago, and it's yet another distressing example of the gun violence that plagued the city back in 2009. What's really striking to me is how his case highlights the broader systemic issues the community faced back then. It seems like poverty and gang activity created a vicious cycle that was really hard to break out of and led to so many lives being lost, including Ramon's. I was wondering if anyone knows more about the neighborhood where this happened? Was it a hotspot for crime or gang activity during that time? It's heartbreaking to see how these factors can affect the chances of solving cases like Finch’s, leaving families without closure. Maybe understanding the environment could shed some light on why there wasn’t more community cooperation with the police. Anyone familiar with the area or the situation back then? My thoughts are with Ramon's family and friends. It can't be easy knowing there are still so many unanswered questions.
