I can't stop thinking about the role that K&K Jamaican Restaurant might have played in Wanita and Karen’s tragic deaths. It was co-owned by Akanni Martin, who was also the father of Karen's children. This restaurant, once a hub of life and possibly even a place of happy memories for the sisters, suddenly became the scene of such a devastating event. Can you imagine the emotional weight this has on the employees and regular patrons as well? The connection between Martin's death and the sisters’ murder is perplexing, especially given the circumstances surrounding his own demise. It’s difficult to understand how and why these violent acts unfolded, particularly in a place tied so closely to their family life. If anyone has visited the restaurant around the time of this terrible incident or knows the family from Hillside, their perspective would be invaluable. Let’s keep talking, sharing insights, and doing what we can to support the families and the investigators. These women deserve justice, and their children deserve closure and community support.
