I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of community response in the aftermath of tragedies like the one that took Isaiah Taylor’s life. It’s incredibly moving to see how Camden came together to honor his memory. I didn’t know Isaiah personally, but hearing about the celebration of his life held at New Community Baptist Church really struck a chord with me. These moments show how resilient and supportive a community can be in times of immense pain. People shared stories and memories, turning a devastating event into a celebration of the joy Isaiah brought to others. It makes me wonder how we can harness this unity to prevent such tragedies from happening in the first place. How can we as a community support each other more effectively? My heart goes out to Isaiah’s friends and family; I hope they find some comfort in knowing they're surrounded by love and solidarity.
