Wow, this case gives me chills just reading about it. I've always been fascinated by these mysterious overboard incidents. The part that intrigues me the most is how they were so far out at sea—308 miles south of Kodiak! It must have been really challenging for anyone trying to organize a search that far out. I wonder what the weather conditions were like that day. Could strong winds or rough seas have been a factor? Or was there something else happening on the Pacific Scout leading up to his disappearance? It seems like there are so many unanswered questions. It's just so haunting to think of being lost out there in the vastness of the ocean. Anyone here familiar with the area or conditions around Kodiak during December? Would love to hear any insights!
