I’ve been reading through the case of Shamalee and Daniel Arleth, and something about the weather that day has been nagging at me. Does anyone have specific info about the conditions on July 23, 1995, near Auke Bay? I’m curious if there were reports of sudden storms or unexpected tides that might have contributed to what happened. It seems like such a clear day would have been less likely to result in a situation where experienced people like them wouldn’t make it back. Any insights or resources on old weather reports from that area would be appreciated!
I was looking into some archived news articles about the disappearance of Shamalee and Daniel Arleth. Has anyone else noticed the odd weather reports from that day back in '95? Apparently, the weather turned unexpectedly rough in the afternoon. I wonder if this could have played a part in why the boat never made it back to the harbor. It's just so eerie and makes you think about the unpredictability of nature and how quickly a calm day can turn dangerous, especially out on the water. Anyone familiar with the area at that time have more insights on this?
