I've been following the case of Kathryn and Charles Shern, and I can't stop thinking about their dogs. In many interviews, neighbors mentioned how much the couple adored their pets. I can't imagine how confused and frightened their furry friends must have been during the entire ordeal. It's so sad to think about the animals losing their beloved caregivers in such a traumatic way. I really hope that if any pets survived, they've found a loving home with someone who can offer them comfort and stability after this tragic event. It's times like these when the ripple effects of such tragedies hit so many lives, not just human.
