Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Robert who disappeared from the F/V "Cape Alava." One thing that puzzles me is how the crewman said he went to sleep and then Robert was just gone. Does anyone have insight into how something like this could happen at sea without anyone noticing? Also, I've been trying to look up more about conditions around Knight Island, Yakutat, during that time. Could sea conditions have played a part in making it tough to spot anything during the search? It’s just strange how there hasn’t been any trace despite the searches. If anyone has info or theories on this, I'd love to hear them.

Has anyone looked into whether the F/V "Cape Alava" had any previous issues with safety or equipment malfunctions? I know it might be a long shot, but sometimes the smallest details can make a big difference in these kinds of cases. If there were any prior incidents or reports, it could potentially shed some light on what might have happened to Robert. Also, are there any local fisherman familiar with the waters near Knight Island who could provide insights into possible currents or hazards in the area? It’s such a remote place; I wonder if there are other theories out there.
