I keep thinking about Altariq Johnson’s friends and family and what they must be going through right now. It must be incredibly difficult for them to navigate their loss while trying to make sense of everything that's happened. I read that Vernon Crook was arrested and charged, which I hope provides some comfort. Still, the road to justice can be long and challenging. The persistence of violence in Newark is really alarming. We see a pattern where community cooperation becomes critical in solving these cases. It makes me wonder how we can all come together to make our communities safer. If anyone reading this has information that could help, I hope they consider reaching out to the authorities. Let's hope that with Crook's arrest, they’re closer to finding out the whole story of what led to this tragedy. Peace and support to all those affected.
