So I've been following the case of the missing fishermen from the Pacesetter, and I came across something interesting. Apparently, Elias and the rest of the crew were familiar with experiencing rough waters. I wonder what could have caused the vessel to sink so suddenly, considering their experience? Were weather conditions really that bad, or could there have been an issue with the boat itself? I read somewhere that older fishing boats might have structural problems, but I'm not sure if that was the case here. Does anyone know more about the condition of the Pacesetter before it went out to sea? Any insights would be appreciated.
Hey everyone, I've been following the case of the Pacesetter closely, and I keep thinking about the weather conditions that day. I heard the seas were rough, and they mentioned something about a sudden storm hitting hard in that area. Does anyone here have any insights on how common these fast-forming storms are in that part of the Bering Sea? I'm wondering if there were any warnings or if this caught everyone completely off guard. It just seems like such a tragic recipe for disaster. Would love to hear any thoughts or info from people familiar with the area or similar incidents. Thanks!
