Has anyone else been following the case of Floyd Butler? I’ve been thinking a lot about the timing of when his body was discovered. It’s really unsettling that his relatives found him at 1 a.m. after the back door had been kicked in. It makes you wonder if the intruder(s) knew his routine or if it was a random attack. Imagine the shock for his family, finding him like that. It's such a tragic reminder of how violence on the South Side affects not just one person but ripples out to everyone who knew and loved them. Does anyone have thoughts on what might've prompted this? It's so hard not knowing why someone would do this to him.

I've been following Floyd Butler's case, and it's so difficult to comprehend how something so terrible can happen to someone who contributed so much to his community. I can only imagine the immense sorrow his family must be going through. It's baffling that with all his influence and visibility, there's still such an air of mystery about who could've done this and why. I read that there were no leads back then—does anyone know if there have been updates on potential suspects or possible motives since those early reports? The fact that his home was broken into and he was targeted so violently makes you question how safe any of us really are. My thoughts go out to those who loved him and are still waiting for justice.
