Has anyone else been wondering about the community impact of the Bentler house fire? What happened to Lawrence Bowman, his son Nicholas, and Michael Hoots is unbelievably cruel. Reading about the details surrounding their deaths, I can't stop thinking about how deeply this must have shaken their neighborhood on Detroit's west side. A fire meant to cover such a ghastly act sends shockwaves not just through the families but also through the community as a whole. I hope the residents and neighbors have found some support and strength to cope. It’s hard to imagine feeling safe again after something so terrifying happens right next door. Does anyone know if any local groups stepped up to help the community heal after this senseless tragedy?
