Has anyone taken a closer look at Faisal's mental state before he disappeared? Working in the engine room can be incredibly stressful, both physically and mentally. I've read that sometimes seafarers experience intense pressure and isolation, which can affect their well-being. Could it be possible that Faisal was struggling with something that might have led to an accident or even a deliberate act? It's odd to me that someone could vanish without a trace, especially in seemingly good weather conditions. I wonder if there were any signs that his colleagues might have noticed but overlooked at the time. I'm interested in hearing what those familiar with maritime life think about this.
I was looking into the SS Northern Lights and noticed something strange about Faisal's disappearance. The crew described the weather as perfectly calm and the seas were reportedly gentle. It makes me wonder if something else could have happened, given how unlikely it seems for someone to just fall overboard under such conditions. Was there any mention of unusual activity or behavior among the crew? Did they have surveillance or security measures in place at that time on vessels like this one? It's frustrating when these kinds of details are left out, making the whole situation all the more puzzling. Anyone have any insights into the protocols or procedures for investigating overboard incidents back in the late 90s?
