Has anyone else been thinking about the impact this tragedy has had on the students at Saginaw High School? I can't imagine being a classmate of DeLeonce, sitting next to him in class one day and then hearing this awful news. The students lost not only a friend but also a sense of safety within their own community. It’s good to see that some local groups have stepped up to address youth violence, but I just hope the school and community provide enough support and counseling for those kids. This kind of trauma leaves a mark, and those kids really need a chance to process everything that’s happened. My heart truly goes out to them, and it’s crucial we keep focusing on how to create safer environments for our youth.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the tragic loss of DeLeonce "Pooh Bear" Williams Jr. in Saginaw. From everything I've been reading, it sounds like he was such a bright light in his community, and I can't imagine the pain his family is going through. What really stands out to me is how this case underscores the pressing issue of youth violence in our society. It seems every few weeks, we're hearing about another young life cut short in a similar fashion. I keep wondering, what more can be done to address these systemic problems? It's so frustrating seeing these senseless tragedies repeating. How do we come together as a community to ensure other kids don't meet the same fate? My heart goes out to DeLeonce's family, friends, and everyone touched by his life.
