I can't stop thinking about the grisly discovery made at Atherton East Apartments back in January 2015. It's like every time I hear about these kind of cases, my mind drifts back to Vanthony Burns and his mom, Sue Lynn. Both of them were found lifeless, victims of what police are calling a targeted attack.
What's really unsettling to me is that there's still no motive made public. What could possibly drive someone to commit such a vicious act against a young man and his mother? The community needs some answers. I've read the police said they weren't random targets, and that only makes me wonder more about what was going on behind the scenes.
I can't imagine the pain their families are going through, not having closure. It must be a daily struggle, living in the same city where unresolved pain still hangs in the air. Flint's seen its fair share of violence, and unfortunately, Vanthony and Sue Lynn's case is another example of the urgent need to address these issues. If anyone has tips, anything small, it might help lead to some justice for both of them. They deserve that much.
I was just thinking about how the Flint community must be feeling with the unsolved murders of Vanthony and Sue Lynn Burns still looming over them. It's been such a long time, and I can only imagine the frustration and sorrow that their friends and family must be experiencing. The idea that someone could invade their home and take their lives in such a brutal way is beyond comprehension.
Being from Flint myself, it’s painful to see how the violence affects us all, but even more so when justice feels out of reach. I'm hoping that someone with information will step forward. It's crucial that we continue to support each other and the families affected, and not let fear overshadow our calls for justice. Every bit of information could be the key to resolving this case. ?
