With the sentencing of Richard Strzelecki, I've been thinking a lot about the community's response to unexpected tragedies. It's truly admirable how everyone in Pulawski Township and Posen came together to support each other after Eugene and Hank were taken from us. I had the chance to attend a few of the vigils held shortly after the brothers' passing, and it was moving to see so many people celebrating their lives. It's clear that Eugene and Hank touched so many hearts with their kindness. I remember neighbors talking about how the brothers were always there to lend a helping hand—whether it was shoveling snow for Sophie or running errands with Stella. It's gestures like these that define a resilient community, but they also remind us of the loss we continue to feel without them here. Does anyone know if there are any ongoing community projects or events in their memory? I'd love to participate and keep their spirit alive.
