I came across the Steven and William Kent Watkins case, and something that I can’t get out of my mind is the weather conditions during that time in Kachemak Bay. Does anyone know if there were reports about storms or rough seas around October 21, 1997? It makes me wonder how much weather could have played a role in their disappearance. I feel like it might be an overlooked aspect, and any insight or historical weather data from then could add some context. Anyone else digging into this angle, or is there any local knowledge on how tricky the waters might have been?

Wow, this case is so baffling. I've been diving deep into the details of Steven and William Kent Watkins' disappearance, and the more I read, the more questions I have. One thing that really stands out to me is the timing of their fuel purchase in Seldovia. Why did they choose that particular time and place to fuel up? It might be a small detail, but sometimes the little things can mean a lot. Did they mention any plans or reason for their route? Also, I've been curious if there were any witnesses who saw them after they left Seldovia. Any locals or fishermen who might have been out there that day? It's such a remote area, and any small piece of information could potentially shed some light on what happened. Just hoping something new turns up that could provide answers to the families and those still searching for the truth.

I came across the case of Steven and William Kent Watkins, whose boat, the Loose Goose Too, vanished back in 1997. It's baffling to me how a boat and its occupants could disappear without a trace in an area that was extensively searched. The fact that they were last seen fueling up in Seldovia means they should have been well-prepared for a trip, yet the USCG found nothing in Kachemak Bay or the lower Cook Inlet. Has anyone looked into whether weather conditions could have played a role, or if there are any known hazards in those waters that weren't as documented back then? It's been over two decades, and yet there's still so much mystery surrounding their disappearance. What else could have gone wrong that day?
