The mystery of the missing skiff group near the Eek River is something I've been following closely. It’s hard to stop thinking about how unexpected weather conditions can completely alter the course of a journey out on Alaskan waters. I’ve read about how fast things can change, especially with the winds and tides in that region. Does anyone know if there were any reports of unusual weather around that time? I’m wondering if maybe a sudden squall or a shift in the tide could’ve caught them off guard. It’s just chilling to think about how quickly things can go wrong out there. If only more detailed weather data from that day was available—or if someone remembers anything peculiar about the weather on that day—it might give us some more clues.

Has anyone else noticed how odd it is that there were zero traces found of the skiff or the people on board? I mean, even with a potential accident or rough waters, wouldn’t there typically be debris or something washed ashore? The search covered a pretty extensive area, right? I keep wondering if they could’ve possibly taken a different route that day or faced something unexpected. Maybe weather conditions changed quickly? I wish we had more detailed info about the weather reports from that day. It feels like there might be pieces of this puzzle still missing. Any local folks here who know more about the Eek River area or similar cases in the region?
