Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Ebony Byrom, and something that's been troubling me is the situation of her 16-year-old son. He's dealing with unimaginable trauma, having been in the house when his mother was killed. It's so difficult to wrap my head around what he must be going through emotionally, especially since he was actively online gaming with a friend when it happened. His life changed in an instant, and now he’s living with this dual tragedy of losing his mother and witnessing his stepfather's actions. Counseling is definitely a positive step for him, but I can't help but think about the long road of healing he faces. Does anyone know if there are specific support groups or resources for kids who've experienced such trauma within their own families? I hope he has a strong support system around him beyond the counseling. It’s essential for him to feel safe and supported as he processes everything. The aftermath of violence goes beyond just the act itself; it ripples through the lives of family members, forever altering their futures. Sending love and strength to Ebony’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
