Has anyone else noticed how often alcohol plays a role in these tragic events? I was reading about Kendra Gardner's case again, and it's so difficult to understand how a family gathering could turn so horrifying. It makes me think about how the combination of alcohol and unresolved mental health issues can really become a dangerous cocktail. Her uncle, Willie Harmon, was known to have had PTSD and a history of heavy drinking. It's chilling to think that these factors might have contributed to this nightmare outcome. I can't even begin to imagine what Kendra's family, especially her mother, is going through. The pain of losing someone so young and full of potential is unimaginable. I hope this case encourages more dialogue and action around providing support for veterans, especially when it comes to mental health. It's crucial that we work towards preventing such tragedies by addressing these underlying issues. Kendra deserved so much more, and it's on us to learn from this and protect others in her memory.
