Has anyone been following the details about Jamie VanVolkenburg's case? I'm particularly struck by what the neighbors mentioned about those days when her toddler was left alone. Some of them said they noticed the house was unusually quiet but thought maybe the family was out of town or something. It’s haunting to think how close someone might have come to discovering the situation sooner. ?? I can’t imagine the guilt some of them might feel now, although there's no way they could have known. I just hope this serves as a reminder to look out for each other, especially in tightly-knit communities where we often have the chance to notice the small changes. My heart goes out to her little boy and everyone who loved Jamie.

I've been following this case closely, and I can't get over the courage that Jamie's friends and family have shown throughout this ordeal. I was particularly moved by the stories shared at the vigil held in her honor. They were a beautiful testament to the incredible person she was. One thing that stood out to me was how everyone emphasized Jamie's love for her son. It's so deeply upsetting to think about what he's gone through at such a young age. The community support seems strong, but I can't help but think about the long-term impact this will have on him. I hope he finds as much love and strength in the future as he has from Jamie’s friends and extended family now. It's so vital that we remember and honor her by ensuring her son is supported and surrounded by care.
