I've been following the case of Wayne Smart for a while now, and something that's been on my mind is the absence of forced entry. It makes me so uneasy to think that whoever did this was likely someone Wayne knew and trusted. It hurts to imagine someone you trust turning on you in such a horrific manner. What's even more troubling is how this case has gone cold despite these clues. I feel for Wayne’s family—they deserve answers and some peace. If there was no forced entry, surely someone around there might have seen something or remembers a detail that seemed insignificant back then. It’s frustrating to see the lack of progress, but I hold hope that with the right tip, justice will be served. If anyone knows anything, no matter how small, it could be the missing piece. Even after all these years, any piece of information could be vital. Wayne's family, and the community, really need that closure.

I just came across the case of Wayne Smart while doing a deep dive into cold cases, and it really hit me. The part that stands out is the trust that might have been betrayed. No forced entry? It’s terrifying to think that someone he likely knew and trusted could have done this to him. It makes you wonder about the dynamics in his life and who he was interacting with leading up to that dreadful day. River Rouge is a tight-knit community, and the thought of someone out there with such a horrible crime on their conscience is unsettling. His family must be dealing with so much, trying to cope without answers all these years. We owe it to them and Mr. Smart to keep talking about this case. If anyone out there knows something—even the smallest detail could make a difference—please come forward. It’s time for some answers and peace for those who knew him.

I've been following the Wayne Smart case, and something that really strikes me is the lack of forced entry. It makes me think that Wayne must have known the person who did this, which adds a terrifying layer to the whole thing. It's chilling to imagine someone he trusted being capable of such a heinous act. I grew up in a tight-knit community myself, and I can't begin to fathom the betrayal and pain his family and friends must be feeling, knowing that Wayne's killer could have been someone within their circle. I hope that the offer from Crime Stoppers sparks someone’s memory or conscience, and they come forward with information. This man's family deserves answers, and I think we all want to see justice served in this case.
