I came across an article about Scott going overboard from the Sunset Bay, and it's been on my mind. I've been trying to wrap my head around just how dangerous those fishing jobs can be out in the open sea, especially without any kind of flotation device. The water's got to be freezing in that area, right? Not to mention being so far from Kodiak. The crew must be devastated, I can only imagine. This situation makes you wonder about the safety protocols for folks working on these vessels. Do they always have enough gear for everyone, or do things just get rushed sometimes? Anyone here with fishing experience have insights on how often stuff like this happens?
