I've been following the Sidney Pettigrew Jr. case and I can't stop thinking about that awful day at The Rock Fitness Center. I just can't imagine what it must have been like for anyone who was there, especially his family. From what I gather, Sidney was deeply loved and admired by everyone who knew him, and it's so hard to wrap my head around why someone would want to harm him. Something that really hits me is the way his family, especially his wife Aretha, has coped with this terrible loss. Aretha is an incredibly strong woman. Writing a book to both remember Sidney and process her grief is such a courageous thing to do. She should know that her efforts are not going unnoticed. Her story is reaching people, and it's become a part of the larger conversation around gun violence in Flint. Also, Sidney's son, Joseph, is doing such important work in the community. It's heartening to see how he's using this tragedy as a catalyst for positive change. I'm keeping the Pettigrew family in my thoughts and hope they find the justice and peace they deserve. In the meantime, I really hope anyone with information feels compelled to come forward. Crime Stoppers is still offering a reward, and tips can be made anonymously. Every little bit of information could help bring Sidney's family the closure they need.

I’ve been following the Sidney Pettigrew Jr. case for a while now, and there's something that's always stuck with me – the impact on his son, Joseph. It's incredibly tough to lose a parent, especially in such a sudden and violent way. Joseph’s work in anti-violence initiatives is truly admirable and shows tremendous strength. It must be so difficult to channel that pain into advocating for change, but he seems to be doing it with such grace. The community's support is heartening, and it’s clear Sidney’s legacy is driving real action. Let’s hope that Joseph and the entire Pettigrew family find the justice they deserve soon. Does anyone here have more details on the initiatives Joseph is involved with? It might be helpful to see how others can support this cause.

I've been following Sidney Pettigrew Jr.'s case closely, and I can't shake this feeling of sadness for his family, especially his wife, Aretha. Her strength in the face of such devastation is truly remarkable. The fact that she wrote a book to honor Sidney shows just how profound their bond was. It's heartbreaking that the investigation is still at a standstill after all these years. I can't even imagine the frustration they must feel with no clear answers and seemingly little progress from the authorities. Seeing Joseph turn his grief into a driving force for change is inspiring, but it also highlights how his family and the community continue to suffer from senseless violence. It feels like this isn't just about finding justice for Sidney anymore, but also about preventing more families from experiencing the same pain. It's crucial for the community and law enforcement to work hand in hand to solve these crimes and honor the memories of those who have been taken too soon. I hope that the renewed efforts with the new detective bring some much-needed developments in the case. Sending strength and support to the Pettigrew family ❤️.
