Has anyone heard more about the search efforts for Judson after he went missing at Smitty's Cove? I read that the other divers saw his dive lights and glow sticks floating out of the harbor, which is so eerie. It makes me wonder about the currents in that area. Does anyone know if Whittier has strong tidal currents that could have taken him further out? It's baffling and must be incredibly difficult for his friends and family. I'm hoping they can get more resources out there for another search, maybe some remote underwater vehicles or something? Any updates would be appreciated!

Was just reading up on the Judson case in Whittier and wanted to bring up something about that dive site, Smitty's Cove. For those who don't know, the Cove is notorious for its strong currents and unpredictable weather, especially during the winter months. Some locals claim it can be deceivingly calm on the surface but quite dangerous below.
Given the dive lights and glow sticks found floating out of the harbor, does anyone else wonder if those currents played a role in what happened to Judson? I can't help but think that maybe he got caught in a current that day.
Anyone familiar with the area have insights on how those conditions might affect searches? Just trying to piece together how Judson might have gotten separated from the group.
