Hi everyone,
I’ve been diving deep into the case of Johnny, who went missing back in the early summer of 2000. One thing that's been on my mind is why he chose Soldotna to move to. I did a bit of digging, and it's a small place with not much going on—mostly wilderness and a tight-knit community. It makes me wonder if he had friends there or if something specific was drawing him to such a remote area. Could he have been trying to start over somewhere quieter or was there a fishing or outdoors connection? Anyone else have thoughts on why he might've picked Soldotna out of all places? Looking forward to your insights!
Hey everyone, I’ve been digging into Johnny’s case, and I stumbled upon something interesting. Does anyone know if Johnny had any friends or acquaintances in Soldotna when he mentioned he was planning to move there? I’m curious because it seems like a big decision to move without a solid support system already in place, especially given how young he was. Maybe someone from his past could shed light on why Soldotna was his destination of choice? It feels like it might be a key piece of the puzzle, considering how the trail went cold right after that. Any locals or anyone familiar with the area back then have any insights?
Has anyone else been looking into the Soldotna area regarding Johnny’s disappearance? It seems like such a small and tight-knit community. I'd think someone might remember a newcomer from back then. If Johnny really did plan to move there, wouldn't there be some trace? Maybe he talked to someone or there are records of him renting or looking for work. It's been so long, but small towns usually don’t forget easily. I wonder if any locals have weighed in on this case before.
