I've been reading through everything we have so far on Edgar Francis Burch III's disappearance, and something keeps nagging at me. How often do we hear of retired military officers vanishing without a trace like this? Ed had such an impressive military career, filled with high-level training and commendations. He served with the 101st Airborne and even earned a Purple Heart. It's fascinating to think this man, who faced danger head-on, went missing during a routine flight in Alaska. As a seasoned pilot, Ed would have been well-aware of the potential risks. I keep wondering if something unusual happened that day, beyond just an unfortunate accident. Did anyone else find themselves questioning whether this was simply a pilot error or if there might be more to it? Would love to hear what others think.
Has anyone here looked into Ed's martial arts background and how it might connect to his disappearance? It's so fascinating that he held multiple titles in Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Judo and even taught at Colorado Mountain College. Could one of his students or martial arts contacts have any insight or have been in contact with him right before the flight? I'm curious if the skills he gained from martial arts might have played a role in surviving the crash, assuming he didn't perish immediately. Maybe his training gave him the know-how to try and handle an emergency or survival situation. Anyone else think there's something more to explore here? Let's connect some dots!
