Has anyone else been struck by the eerie text messages Carol sent posing as Patricia? I can't imagine how heart-wrenching it must have been for the family, thinking they were communicating with their loved one, only to find out later it was all a facade. It's chilling to think about the lengths Carol went to in order to cover her tracks. It's such a disturbing aspect of this case that makes me worry about how easily trust and communication can be manipulated. I really feel for Patricia's family, having to deal with not only the loss but also the betrayal and deception. I hope they find support and healing in what must be an incredibly confusing and painful time. Has anyone read more about how the prosecution handled this aspect during the trial? I'm curious how it played out legally.
