Anyone else out there familiar with the state of the Kuskokwim River around the time when John went missing? I was looking into it and it seems like the area can get pretty unpredictable with the weather changing rapidly. It makes me wonder if that had anything to do with what happened to him. The river's been known for dangerous conditions at certain times of the year, so it might be worth considering how that could have affected his journey. If anyone has insights on typical weather patterns or conditions for that time of year, could be useful for piecing together more clues.
Hey everyone, I'm really puzzled by John's disappearance on the Kuskokwim River, especially considering the conditions around Pilot Station. This area is known for its unpredictable weather, and I'm wondering if anyone has any insights into how common it is for experienced snowmobilers like John to face trouble here? I've seen a few cases where dense fog or sudden storms caught people off guard. Did John have any sort of emergency gear with him? Anything that could have helped if the weather turned bad suddenly? Thanks for any input!
Hey everyone,
So I’ve been reading up on John’s disappearance, and something really caught my eye. He was last seen on the Kuskokwim River with a 1996 Skandic Ski-Doo. Does anyone here know how reliable those old Ski-Doos are? Could it have broken down in the middle of nowhere? I’ve heard they’re pretty rugged, but given the conditions out there, I’m wondering if it might have been faulty or something. Anyone with snowmobile experience have thoughts on this? Could a mechanical issue explain him not making it back? Appreciate any insights you guys have!
